Diary - January 2023

January 2, 2023!

Today I went to Odle Middle School to play soccer and fly my NEW Stunt Drone. First, we went to a small driveway next to ours. Then, we go to a secret pathway, and keep walking until . . . Presto! Your at the Middle School! 

We first went to the parking place to play my drone. I did flips, turns, and I almost . . . CRASHED. But, thanks to my quick brain and reflects, I turned immediately. Then, we played soccer after my drone kinda got outta battery. I taught everybody how to stop the ball, shoot, pass, and dribble. Then, we went home.

January 4, 2023.

Today I experienced my first blackout in Bellevue, WA. First of all, I was at Titans FC soccer training. After it was done, I waited and waited and waited, but Grandpa didn’t come – that was until he shouted at the top of his lungs and got me over here. Then, when we got home, we couldn’t open the garage door because it was a blackout. Then, we got all the flashlights and candles and matches and lighters we could find. Then, we lit all the candles we found, and got all the flashlights, too. Then, we had dinner.

 When it was time to go to bed, our lights suddenly turned on!

January 6, 2023

Today is Friday, and Friday's are special because . . . I GET HOME-LUNCH, AND IT IS PIZZA! But bad news. Mommy didn't order school lunch (pizza) on purpose! And there is only one . . . and only one pizza day EVERY MONTH! Grrr at mommy. 🤬

At lunch, almost EVERYBODY ordered school lunch! All I had was something with eggs included with several fat grapes and 3 brown-ish red-ish apples. But, on the bright side, I still have something to eat.

January 8, 2023

Today I went skiing with my family! We loaded all our ski gear in the AWD (all wheel drive) Volkswagon, such as . . . our helmets, our skis, our coats, our boots, and our poles. Then, we were off!

When we got there, I first put on my boots, then coat, then gloves, then helmet. Then, I went to the restroom to *, and then I put on my skis and went to Little Thunder, a green. The first time was horrible. I tripped on my pole and went too fast and almost crashed into a ski lift! The second time was a little bit better. I still fell once, though. The rest were perfect. On the last round (the 5th one) , we   c a s a d e    t r a v e r s e d   to Pacific Crest, a blue. Almost all of them were good (except once, where I fell 3 times) , and I even found a good jumping spot!

January 9, 2023

Today I played two games of soccer, but I will tell you one. If I spell things wrong, that is not my fault, that is because I'm tired. The first training was Titans FC B-14. We first did rondo, but only 3 people on the outside and one on the inside so we can move around more. Then, we did laps. Then, we did a passing drill, 5 people in the inside, 5 people on the outside. when the coach say to make a pass, pass to a person on the outside and the person on the outside passes back to you. Then, it was scrimmage time. I didn't score a goal, and our team lost anyways.

January 10, 2023

Today I did not do   A B S O L U T E L Y    N O T H I N G   exciting happened. But, tomorrow we will go SKIING! I am very excited about that because mommy has put with BLUE CRUISERS, and not with GREEN BABIES. But, I cannot go to black yet because I still need to work on controlling my speed, leaning forward more, and turning. I turn like big "S" shapes, but there will be mushroom bumps EVERYWHERE, and so I need to learn turning like small lowercase "c" shapes.

January 11, 2023

Today I went to ski! We first put all our ski gear on the bus, and get on your correct bus so you don't get lost. This year, you're allowed to eat on the bus! So, I ate my snack, put on my gear, and watched a movie. Finally, we got there! 

First, we found our skis and walked a very very very . . . very very very very very long time. Then, we got to our pole numbers. Mine was 24, which is pretty advanced. 

We warmed up on Holiday, which ended up a looooong time. It was the whole morning! Then, we had lunch. Mine was 3 sandwiches that are in my tummy now. 

After lunch, I went to Golden Nugget. It was the first blue I did all day! There were jumps, drops, and a secret island! I loved Golden Nugget!

January 12, 2023

Today I had chinese class and chess. But, thankfully, we didn't have a blackout. (hope you read my previous one; January 5!) I had chess class first. It was all about . . . CHESS! I kinda forgot what the whole entire class was seriously about! Then, I played chess with Bryce. I almost won the game, but Kyle made the move that made the game turn into 1/2 to 1/2, or 50.00 to 50.00. Then, it was chinese time.It was Amy's turn to present a story, but she still didn't prepare one! We did what we always did, see the video about our next story, blah blah blah. Finally, it was over!

Hello! I am back. Right now it is 8:00, so that must mean that I was not here for about . . . 23 hours if I did the math correctly. So, today I was stuck in my room doing nothing but my Chain Reactions. This week and last week I was obsessed with it, like this: Build the thing, Test it, Try it again, and Test it again. This is how I kept going crazy with it. If you didn't know, I built a new chain reaction: Elevator Ramps! This is how it works: you tap the plate at the bottom with your finger. The plate is attached to the piston, which hits a ball, which rolls down a ramp and hits another piston, and hits another ball which rolls down the ramp and goes into your hands or a cup. Cool, right?

 I went to swim. It was very very boring. Tomorrow (I am doing yesterday's diary) daddy and Kyle are doing Games on his phone without me, so they completely forgot about me. Hold on for a sec . . . Sigh. Daddy says it is my responsibility to do my diary, and it is fine if I don't do it. Now, let me get this straight. I can get a Nintendo Switch, and I will not have to share it; because why bother? They didn't do that one year of diary, So They don't deserve to play with my Nintendo.😡

Today I swear that I was supposed to switch classes. I just happened to not switch. Well, I think I was supposed to switch because I wasn't on my group's list. But, I still stayed. The first thing we did was Holiday. We did a very big   s w i t c h  to Central Express, and I was happy by that. We went to Golden Nugget, which I liked, but this time we did the part I didn't like: switching to Triple 60. We went super slow, and we were almost late for lunch! Then, we did that again, which was annoying. I need to switch groups.

Today we had a Lunar New Year Assembly! It started with Fifth and Fourth Graders. They shared some cool facts that I didn't know. Then, came us Second Graders, and some of us recited a poem. Then, it was time for the Kindergarteners. They just sang along with a boombox. Then, for some reason, some dancing lions came, and they just danced and danced. In the middle of all of it, some Third Graders fed the lions some lettuce! The lion who got the lettuce threw it to the other lion, and the other lion caught the lettuce in his mouth! I hope we get another New Year Celebration!

Today I Am So So So So Busy! This morning, I had a really tremendous soccer game! I was almost late, but I got there just in time. In the first half, I played goalie and defender. But, I didn't even need to do anything! Our team easily won 6 - 0, but I had to get home because I had to take a nap because I had a piano lesson right after! I played a ton of songs, and I got a ton of lectures. After all of that chaos, I went to another tiring soccer game against my rival, Sammamish. It was 1 - 1 when I got there, but then another person scored, and then I scored!! But, then it turn into 3 - 2. I wanted to be goalie, but my coach said no. Eventually, we lost 4 - 2. But, at least we won the first game!

We also went to Gram's house to play. Ru-shan, Ru-song, Vincent, Lucas, Summer, Gram, and Tuan Tuan were there already! When we got there, I went to a immediate war. I was on Vincent's side. Then, it turned into a game of hide-and-seek. After that, it was dinner time. We took a lot of pictures, and ate our [meh] food. Then, we played hide-and-seek again. I even found some OP Pokémon Cards! I hope another day like this happens!

Today I went swimming. I wasn't very not-so-happy because in the past few weeks, swimming has became easier and easier. All I have to do is swim to the red line and swim back. But, THIS time we had to start at the red line and go to the deep end! Normally, people would say "But Jace, aren't those two thingamabobs the same?" , but that is because it is up to nine feet underwater! As all of you know, I suck at swimming, so nine feet is already a ton of pressure on me. Thankfully, I made it!

January 25, I don't like to ski/2023

Today I went skiing and I did not like it at all because we went way to very so    s  l  o  w  .    But, we did just fine on Golden Nugget. I mean, no one fell really badly (except me, where someone pushed me down) . I also liked the halfpipe, where we went super high. The best thing that we did, was going to Silver Fir Express. I love going to Outback, where we can jump really high! But, our coach is very strict, and while all the other kids learn how to do a 360º spin and a backflip, we're stuck learning not to push with poles and not use pizza.

Today I played four-square with my friends. This is how it works: you need four people, each in one square. The person who is in the square 'A' starts with a ball. 'A' can pass to 'C'. But, the ball has to bounce in your square before you can strike the ball to someone else. If the ball doesn't hit someone's square before the person strikes the ball to someone else, their out. If someone hits the ball out of the squares, that person it also out. And you think this is too much? This is only for starters!!

Today I went to a Lunar New Year Party where someone brought a cool two-wheeled Robot that can move around with someone standing on it. Lean forward is go forward, lean backwards is go backward, right knee push middle is is turn right, push left is go left. It took me quite a while to learn it, and I ended up having a bunch of fun.

January 28, 2023

Today I went to Summit West. William was also there! We first started on Pacific Crest, where William fell a lot of times. But, the runs were good, and I even found a cool place to jump! Then, William suggested we go to 360º Bowl. I was a little scared at first, but after a couple times, I got the hang of it. Then, I had lunch with William. I ate 1/2 of a hamburger, a chicken wing, and a lot of fries. Then, we went to the hardest place I ever went: WILDSIDE. First, I was not sure about it, but then, after William, I got on the chairlift. When we got to the top, I noticed that there were bumps, and that made me a bit scared, but I got down eventually. But, on the next turn, My pole got smashed and crashed, and it broke. But, I was able to get down, and I felt lucky that my parents didn't get mad at me for breaking my own pole.

January 29, 2023

Today nothing really fun happened to me. I just read a lot of big, fat, [Meh] books, I did the reading log, and I was done with reading. I also saw some stuff about glass, cobalt, mercury (the metal, not the planet!) , and silicon. In the evening, I drew some pictures to match Farmer Fred's story. I think they were okay, but not the best. I didn't add color yet, but I'm going to color later in the week. Mom also made me write outlines of the scenes so it is easier to draw the picture accordingly. (also, can you believe that I cried over a tractor?) I also did some chess lessons before bed time. What a busy day.

January 30, 2023

Today I did not like it at all. I had two soccer TWO soccer practices that were not fun (unless you mean winning the 2v2 match 5-6) . I really mean the first one, where we had to do   R E A L L Y   L O N G    laps around the entire field, which is like 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 miles! Not even my dad can manage to do that! The only fun part was when we won the scrimmage, where we wouldn't have won if it weren't for Evan, where he made a ton of shots that were super close! 3 - 1!

Today I almost finished Flipped, a novel about two kids' love story. I don't really think I'm supposed to read that book though, because every time I read it, though, I have this awkward feeling. Really, even though the book itself is pretty interesting, I have no interest in Barbie Dolls.
