August 1, 2022 - More summer camps!
Today I went to baseball camp for the second time! Daddy bought me a baseball glove, and to warm-up we had to pass the ball around the rectangle 10 times, which was very easy for me, but not for a 9-year old that I know from a different camp. The coach then told everybody that we were going to practice ground balls! Yippee! I did very very good, but I also accidentally missed one, but it was OK. Next was batting, and I did pretty well, although I just missed a ball! After it was pretty easy. We played freeze tag, and I won! it was a very, very awesome day.
August 2, 2022 - How to play baseball
Here's how baseball works. First, the pitcher throws the ball to the batter and if the batter missis, that person has 2 more chances to hit the ball. If the batter hits the ball, then that person drops the bat and starts running to first. The 3 outfielders then try to catch the ball and throw it to 3rd base. If 3rd base catches the ball, that person throws the ball to home plate catcher. ( it depends on wither or not the catcher gets the ball for a point or not.) Then, that batter will go to the stands and take a rest. Another batter then goes on the field, and the whole chain starts all over again, and that's how it works.
August 3, 2022 - I get hit in the eye with a baseball!
Today I went to baseball camp as usual. I got there at 9:02, which is normal. I caught the balls that the coach threw to me when we did warm-ups, and I almost won the game Hot Potato! Next was batting practice. I did pretty good, I hit six bats and 4 missies, which is good for me. After that was snack break. I was so relived, because I was incredibly hungry! I packed rice crackers and cheddar bunny crackers. I ate the rice cracker first, then the bunny crackers. I also saw that Coalson brought Pokémon cards! After that was flyers. At the 16 throw, the ball hit my eye and I had to sit out the rest of the time.
August 4, 2022 - We play a baseball scrimmage!
Today I had baseball camp for the 4th time! I did a lot of good catching. We played Hot potato and I won 2 times in a row, which is crazy! After that, everybody went to snack break for our next Pokémon: Marshadow! We did competitions for that Pokemon, and I won! After that was scrimmage! I caught a grounder and a fly ball! After that, it was our turn to bat. I was second, and I hit the ball, but I was quickly tagged out. When it was my turn, I hit the ball again! this time, I ran super fast from home to 1, 2, 3, then I did a home run!! It was a very, very awesome day.
August 5, 2022 - Last day already!?
This morning I had no idea that it was Friday. I went to baseball camp as usual, 9:00. I first practiced with Micah at throwing, then it was quickly changed to hot potato. I won 2-in-a-row! Then, we played flyers, and I caught 7 balls and missed only one which was not my fault because it was to high! Finally, we get snack break. I get next to Coalson, because I rented 1 of my Pokémon to win the battle! Then, I ate some of my crackers. After, I was pulled in and the coach made teams. I was on Teddy's team, and me and him together scored 6 points! I had a very fun time at the baseball summer camp.
August 6, 2022 - Hiking!?
Today I woke up in a little cabin which I don't recognize. When I went downstairs to have breakfast, daddy told me that we where going to hike a mountain which was going to take 6 hours to finish! I suggested I go because Vincent's mom was giving lollipops to everybody who went hiking. So it turned out easier than I thought it would be, and I ended up having a lot of fun! I went to Ru-shan's car to drive home. On the way back, Me, Ru-shan, and Vincent did fun activities that helped pass time. When we got home, I watched some television. It is a day that I will not forget.
August 7,2022 - Last day already!
Today was the last day to live in the cabin. Everybody packed their stuff to get ready to go home. On the way, we stopped at a park. I went boating with Lucas, Vincent, and their dad. Vincent is sometimes funny, likes to play, not read books. He is also Sometimes mean, sometimes just chillaxes. Lucas likes to read and likes board games. He also is sometimes mean, sometimes funny. We also caught a lot of tadpoles, too! I even found one with legs! I almost caught it, but he just slipped away! Then, Lucas's mom gave us lollipops! it was a very, very, very incredible day.
August 8,2022 - Today I have to play!
Today I read a book about Canada. Canada has a lot of lakes. There's even 3 million lakes, even more than the whole entire world's lakes combined together! Canada has ten countries in total. It's international languages are english and french, the largest french speaking country outside of France! In Canada, when it's snowing, kids play hockey on frozen ponds. They also have holidays like Christmas and Easter. They also have Winter Carnivals. Once, there was a canoe race in the icy river! I think that everybody should go too Canada.
August 9, 2022 - The Tuniit!
Today I read a book about the Tuniit. First,I need to tell you two words that are odd but important: Tuniit and Tuniq. Tuniq just means one odd human, Tuniq means a bunch of those odd people. Second, the Tuniit were all very powerful and strong, and they didn't always have to use tools. They could literally wrestle the animal until the animal's neck went CRACK! SNAP! Third, the Tuniit also used flint in a lot of their tools for hunting. But after the Inuit move in, the Tuniit just, kinda disappeared. Some say that they had a conflict that kill all of the Tuniit, some say that they just blended into each other through intermarriage. Anyways, it was a very interesting book to read.
August 10,2022 - This is why you shouldn't cry in chess
This is why you shouldn't cry when your playing chess. First, if you cry when your playing chess, you won't keep trying and that's what holds you from getting better and better and better. On the other hand, if you don't cry and keep working, you will get better and better. Second, there's no reason to cry, just keep doing lessons and puzzles. These will help you improve your game. Third, if you want, you can just quit chess, nobody's making you do it. Remember to have fun in whatever you are doing. Fourth, I don't like the feeling of crying. I like laughing and enjoying whatever I am doing.
August 11, 2022 - Soccer is yummy. So incredibly yummy!
Today at soccer camp we did normal things. Like, duck-duck-goose, Poison dart frog, and SPLAT! I won on SPLAT and I pretended I was king tut, the pharaoh. Then, everybody went and played lightning. It's when the coach passes you the ball and you shoot at the goal. If you miss, your the goalie. If you hit it in, the goalie is out. Oh yeah, there's also a goalie to start with. If you hit the crossbar, everybody who is out is back in, but then your goalie. At the end, the coach said that everybody can bring any food from the country that they were in. I was in USA, so I choose pizza! A very happy day.
August 12, 2022 - Party! Oh Yeah!
Today is the day of the PARTY! I just can't wait, I think I will explode if nobody stops me. My friends are: Max. He likes going behind the bathrooms with me (which is a really really awesome jungle gym if I didn't get it wrong.). My second friend is Anctil. he also likes going in the jungle gym with me and Max. He also likes climbing trees, and he's really funny when he pretends he's at a spa. HA HA HA!!! My third one is Atrium. He is better at dribbling then me, but my teamwork and sportsmanship are better that him. Then, came the . . . . . . . PARTY! I ate 3 pieces of french toast, 2 slices of pizza, 1 bottle of Gatorade, 7 macaroons, 2 fish sticks and chips, and a great big piece of lemon pie! Yum.
August 13, 2022
Today I went to Canada! We crossed the boarder, and it was so so boring waiting for everybody to go. I just don't know why it takes so long for just 1 car to cross the boarder, it's not a big deal at all! It helped pass time by watching 'Cory and friends'. I kind of like it, but it is so babyish. Then, we had lunch at KFC, which was bucket 'o' chicken, fries, a burger, and a fizzy lemonade drink. Yum. When we got to the hotel, we first went swimming! I loved it. Then, we went to take a bath. When we were almost done, I accidently punched daddy, and he is still mad at me.
August 14, 2022
Today is the day we're in Banff National Park, which is in Alberta, not British Columbia which We were in the day before today. But first, We had to go on the car for about 5 and a half hours, which is a incredibly long time! We had stopping points, and lunch was McDonald's! I had a cheeseburger, a pack of fries, a bucket 'o' nuggets, and a sandwich. Yummy, huh? Then we started again. I saw a wolf, a owl, and a fuzzy thing. I don't know what that thing was. Then, we got to the Hotel! It's called Lake Louise inn. I love it. Such a wonderful day.

August 15, 2022 - I am too tiered. Bleh.
Today I went to Banff. Yesterday I only slept less than 1 hour! It's all because I thought that it was mid-night, but it was actually 5:30. We first went to Lake Louise. The hiking was very easy and fun. We also went to The Cave. It was supposed to be fun but it smelled like rotten cheese! Eww. Then, We went to The Banff Gondola! We went up up up 7 thousand feet above sea level! I took some pictures, and mommy took some pictures, too. When we got up there, We started hiking up to the summit. We had breaks, but I wasn't tiered . . . . . . . yet. After that, we went to Lake Minnewanka to play! When we got home, I was so so so tiered, and I fell asleep really easily.
August 16, 2022 - I go canoeing for the first time!
Today daddy made me wake up really late because I didn't get much sleep last night, less than 1 hour as you already know. After we woke up, we had breakfast. It was waffles! Yummy. We then went to Emerald Lake, and the lake's water was the color teal surrounded by mountains. and I went canoeing for the first time! First, mommy and daddy rowed, then I rowed. Then we switched again. On and on, we kept switching until we got back. Lunch was sushi and sandwiches. Then, we went to Bow Lake. That's when I skipped 5 times! Then, we went to Peyto Lake. I saw a few fish and tadpoles! On the way home, we saw 3 bears by the road eating grass for some reason, but it what still very very cool. That was an awesome day.
August 17, 2022
Today we left lake Louise inn and went to Jasper. On the way daddy accidently drove the wrong way, and that’s why we were 3 hours late from if we didn’t drive the wrong way. When we headed to Jasper, we stopped at Columbia Icefield Centre for the icefield adventure and the Glacier Skywalk. First, we went to Columbia Icefield tour. A bus first took us to a station, then a Snow bus took us too the Icefield! The driver told us that we had to come back in 45 minutes, best if a little earlier then that. When we were back in the bus, the driver took us to Icefield Skywalk. On the Skywalk, I felt like I was floating! An awesome day.
August 18, 2022
Today we went to Maligne Lake for a boat tour! The water was teal, and the boat was green. The mountain was all very tall. I loved it because when the driver sped up, the boat started to throw up water! The place we were going to was called Spirit Island. Technically, it’s not an Island. After that, we went to Jasper Town Centre’s ‘Starbucks’ to buy a sandwich and some coffee for lunch. Oh yeah, I forgot that mommy when to the grocery store to buy a bag ‘o’ chips and some candy. Then, we went to Mt. Edith Cavell for hiking. After hiking for about half an hour, we finally reached the lake. That’s when I first noticed that there was ice floating on the small blue lake that I saw from the viewpoint! The lake was formed when the ice from the glacier on the mountain melted. When we got down, I started to throw rocks at the ice. Then, I started to skip rocks. Then, I started stacking rocks by the lake, and I made 2 of them. After that, daddy and I got some ice with our hiking pole, and there were 6 of them! A very happy day.
August 19, 2022
Today we drove to Kamloops and it took five hours to get here. On the way, I saw cows, sheep, and horses. That’s cause’ we weren’t in a city or town, we were in the mountainside. When we got there, we were all tiered and sleepy. Good thing there was 2 beds, so kids sleep on 1 bed and grown-up sleep on the other bed.
When we were settled in, we went to a Korean and Japanese restaurant. Daddy ordered some yummy looking food. Then, we waited. And waited. And waited. Eventually, our patience payed off. Everybody ate a mountain, especially daddy. I was so satisfied.
After we had all of that food, it was time to have some fun! We went to the pool inside the hotel that we stayed at. There was a waterslide tube by the pool. We first started swimming in the pool, then daddy got excited from the waterslide. Daddy was curious, so he went on the slide! Then, he encouraged me to go on the slide, and he told me that I can play 40 minutes of games! So eventually, I was able to do it myself, and so did Kyle. We were so excited and kept playing it for about 10 times! What an awesome day!

Is Canada better or USA better? Let’s see. Canada is cleaner than USA because when I went to Stanley park, the men's changing room was clean, the Japanese restraint we went to for sushi was clean, the Chinese restraint we went for noodles and flatbread was clean, the Japanese restraint, and all of the washrooms I went to were clean, too.
On the other hand, USA has more city's and more population than Canada. For example, like California. The population I a lot, and you can see that by going to a park, or a restraint. There will always be people were you go, and that means a lot of traffic, so it's best if you use a motorcycle or a motorbike that you can use to go a little bit faster, and you can go in between cars.
So in summery, Canada is more cleaner than USA, but I like USA better because it is my birthplace and my home, so I like it better.

Today is the last day of our Canada trip. We first packed up all of our things (because we don't want to lose anything, I mean nobody does!) , then we hit the road! Mommy first searched a long time, and she told daddy to drive to Suspension bridge, and daddy did. So when we got there, we found out that you had to enter your car's license plate on a machine. When your done, you can then just park there. No worry.
When we got to suspension bridge, there were a lot of people there. The bridge itself was very wobbly, and I almost fell! When we got to the other end, we found out that there was a thing that you have to complete to get a prize. I myself, also got one. on the way to complete them, we were walking on a bridge!
When we finished them, we went to the gift shop to buy something. mommy bought chocolate and a mini totem pole. Today was a good day.

Today I went to a basketball summer camp. Really, I was tiered of summer camps by then, and I was so so so board. But when I saw that it was basketball, I got excited. When we actually started, it was 4 groups of 5, and first team to 5 points wins. After that, it was just simple games. For example, there are: knockout, bump, and other games. When that was over, it was snack break. At snack break, Hanni (my friend) told some of his riddles, and told me that there were to many bugs in Minecraft That means ether Mojang or Microsoft will get in trouble. When snack break was over, we did some shooting and passing. Eventually, class ended. I was so happy and tiered.
August 23, 2022
Today was the 2nd day of basketball camp. This morning I got up extra early. I wanted to get there faster than last time. Because last time, we were so late. so this time, we were earlier than most of the people. The coach told us to do the pivot, same as last time. The coach then told us to dribble around the court 2 times. After that, it was straight into groups. The coach told us that the first team to 3 scores can then move on to the next cone. If you finish all three cones, you can go play bump and those other games. we played bump, and we all scored, although I scored 6 times! After that came snack break. Of course, Hanni told jokes and riddles. They were not funny at all. They were all pointless, but just some of them.
August 24, 2022
Today is the 3rd day of basketball summer camp. I woke up a way later than I thought I did. So, we had to hurry up. But daddy stoped me from hurrying. He put on CNN news, and you know how addicted I am to any type of news. So when we got there, we were so late, like on Monday. We did the same as yesterday, doing the pivot down and back, dribble around the court 2 times. Then, there was a tight rely race. On the practice round, my team always won. But, the coach switched me with another person! And then my team kept doing push-ups. After that was snack break. I ate my goldfish. While I did that, Hanni did a Minecraft Quiz on me and Jackson. It was pretty easy. Then, we had groups. I was in the big kid one, and I did good. But when we did the scrimmage, I only blocked shots, but I didn't shoot. Still a good day, though.

Today is the 4th day of basketball summer camp. The day was pretty much like the day before, but I hurried to get dressed, eat breakfast really quickly and brush my teeth. After that, We got there and pretty much nobody was there. The camp started normally, doing the pivot down and back, down and back. After that, we dribbled around the court not 1, not 2, but 3 times! Then, there was another tight rely race,.like last time, our team always won. Like last time, the coach switched me a different team that was horrible! And that's why my team keep doing push-ups, and I hate push-ups. Who doesn't? After that, it still wasn't snack break! I was so hungry that I almost tripped while walking! Finally, it was snack break! I nearly hadn't made it. I ate everything that I had. After that was a scrimmage, like last time. But, I only blocked shots, but I didn't shoot. Still, it was a good game.

Today is the last day of basketball camp already?! Can it? Can it? Okay, I must have gone bazooka. Anyways, today was different. Both me and Kyle had a dentist appointment. It lasted 1 HOUR! But we got TV time, at least. The show was 'Tom & Jerry. But my brother didn't want Tom & Jerry, He likes Peppa Pig. When we got there, we where so late, that they were already playing games! And it started out bad, but then it got better. At the end, we got T-shirts! I loved them. When we got back, we ate lunch (at my house) . After lunch, I read about Marco Polo, who was a merchent that traveled to china. When he came back, he told stories about china; so much gold and a lot of riches. If you compare Marco Polo with Christopher Columbus, you already know which one is better. Where Columbus sailed is not even close to the destination that he planed, he landed in The Bahamas. The closest route to Japan and China would be to sail 'round South America and cross The Pacific Ocean, and there's a big chance that they will die. So in summery, Marco Polo is more famous that Columbus, but he found a new Continent that people soon began to go to - and spread their diseases, too.

Today was the day of my soccer game. I Got a scratch yesterday as I was racing against Ru-shan, I tripped and got that scratch. It hurts a lot, and I couldn't run my fastest. On the game, I was put defense. The coach saw that I couldn't run that fast, so he put me on defense. But normally I was put on midfielder, so it was hard to get use to it. I was right. The striker on the other team passed me, but the rest of the time I stoped them from getting to the goalie. But daddy told me that he was not happy with what I did. he said that I needed to get a chance to be striker, so I can get a chance to score. I then went home with mommy. I ate some noodles, and then I went to piano lessons. I did pretty good, and the teacher gave me a chocolate to get my energy back. I went back to the game, and I got a chance to be striker! But before I got to be striker, I had to be defender. I did what I needed to do, although I missed a few times. I then was changed to left wing, and I almost got the pass to score! I then was changed to striker. I almost scored If it weren't for my sore foot. Daddy was very unhappy. I was sleepy. So when I got home, I went to bed. I woke up, then taking a walk outside, and that's where I got another scratch. But on the good side, Lucas came! We ate dinner, and I finished my diary.
August 28, 2022
Today I am going to tell you my school resolution. My first goal is to be striker in my soccer team. In order to be striker, I need to raise my bar. And how do I do that? I have to improve my dribbling and passing. When there's no soccer training, I have to do every dribbling skill at least 15 times without being asked. My 2nd goal is to be awarded leader of the trimester. And how do I do that? I have to be kind to everybody. But not just students, also to my family. That's how you get awarded leader of the trimester. I also have to set a reading goal, and I have to read 1 or 2 chapter books a week. And to remember all of that, I have to write that down on paper and tape it to the wall. And I think I did most of that today. I followed instructions, and I made the choice to stay at home and play chess with daddy. I won all of them, but daddy is better at chess than me. I followed daddy's directions to go to bed. I got to make up some stories with daddy before we went to sleep. After that, I did my diary. And I followed instructions today!

Today I read a book about 'The boy who fell off the mayflower' . It start's when John Howland moves to London. The king of England Forced him and his family to live somewhere else. They came to London to rent a ship with master Carver, and they loaded supplies and food on board the ship going to America. When the ship was nearly loaded, everybody boarded the Mayflower. Outside Master Carver's cabin John tried to get some sleep, but before he even slept 1 hour, he heard the sound of the anchor being pulled up, and he rushed up to take one last look of London. By the time the sun was up, we were at Gravesend. On their way to America, the crew stoped at Southhampton to wait for their other ship, The Speedwell. But they soon found that The Speedwell kept leaking and they could only proceed with the Mayflower. At the middle of the voyage, John (or Master Howland) went overboard! His Master must've saw that and threw a rope down to him. Then, they got to America.
August 30, 2022
Today I am going to continue to tell the story that I didn't finish yesterday. So after they got to America, one person gave John a sword and a scabbard, because they were going ashore and to arm himself well. When they got on the land, they couldn't find any Indians. Though they saw that there was a group of Indians, they couldn't get their attention. And they also found some abandoned houses, and under a pile of sand there was a big basket of corn. Their main goal was to fix the shallop that had been cut in 4 pieces. Some other day later, someone ran screaming that there was Indians. As soon as we heard that, we ran to our muskets and started to fire at the Indians until the Leader ran back. Then we got into our shallop and sailed off. That's the start of the book. The rest is even more interesting. If you want to know what happened later in the journey, you ought to read the book yourself!
August 31, 2022
Yesterday it was the first day of school, and it was so bad. The night before, I slept so bad. Mommy awoke me when I was just about to fall asleep, and to drink medicine! I hated it. After that, I could't sleep all night. I only slept 5 hours and was so miserable when I got up. And grandpa woke me up so early, at 7:00! So when I got to school, I was so sleepy that I mostly just lay back. But when it was the first important thing came, I did the right thing. I stayed quiet, and the teach was proud of me. At recess, I didn't do anything bad, but I just listened to Mr. Nolan's story, and at some point, the Captain of the team used something called a gum-gum-fart which was really funny! And today, I did snack, and we had Gusty Lee come in our classroom! So, she just reads a book, and then you get to play! Today I played Pop the pig, and it's where you roll a dice, and if it gives you a red, that means you take a red, and if that hamburger show's a number, push the pig's head the number of times it shows on the hamburger, and put that hamburger in. And now to today. I went to soccer camp as usual, but a had a time-out. Next time I will focus on the coach.
