April 1, 2023

Today is the first day of spring [for me] ! That means that the weather will get warm and warm and the sun will be brighter! Oh, yeah, we won't be able to ski in the summertime. But, we can still ski a little bit because the season is not over yet! Mom is planning for me to ski with Lucas, because he can do double blacks, and so he can accompany me to go to blacks. Yes, he might be a bit bored, but still, he's never skied with me before, and we shouldn't waste the chance.

April 2, 2023

Today I went skiing with Lucas! I quickly found out that he is almost at the same level as me, just he is a bit stronger in leg power. That is it. Oh, yeah, I have an advantage. My skis are shorter, which makes me a bit faster in the trees. It is a nice advantage because tree-lined trails are usually narrow and steep, but I have a trick. While doing a turn, I kind of, turn my skis sideways so that I slow down a little. It helps a LOT, especially when I'm doing stuff like Silver Fir.

Today I had a cold soccer practice. I only wore a sweatshirt and my uniform. My sweatshirt is kinda like my pajamas. Now you can imagine how I must be, right? I know, but I got warmer. It turned out to be okay, since I was running so much. I actually thought it was the right choice! I didn't get tired and I didn't get sweaty, hot, cold, or bored! Next time, I'm totally going to bring a sweatshirt to soccer practice. That way, I can perform better.

Today I twisted my ankle! Seriously. I didn't mean to do it, but when Kamron (soccer teammate) kicked the ball, I jumped up, and what a coincidence! It hit my weak spot. So, at the scrimmage time, I couldn't run, so I just sat out while coach took my spot. It was NOT fun, fine, or good. I was so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, tired and BORED!!! But, then I started to feel a little bit better. And so, I was right back in the game! We did score, but we did lose. Oh well. I guess I'm having the hard times.

Today I am admiring my awesome triorama. It is a nice polar bear at the very edge of Antarctica. It is next to its little cave, which is its home. There are also trees, mountains in the distance,  and a fish jumping out of the water. "A yummy snack!" says the polar bear. 

I think it is a nice triorama for a second grader, at least. I don't expect you to say that second graders' work to be, like, perfect, or, like, I don't know. You tell me a word that is a synonym of perfect. Oh! Perfection! Well, looks like I handled that one.

Today I have my totally utterly boring chinese class. I don't know what makes it so boring, it just is! At least I have a chess class before it! Actually, the chess class was a bit boring, so I played very weird car games. Oh well. I played for a nice long time, and I switched games once in a while. It was at least better than listening to my chess class! For the chinese class, I couldn't play because grandpa was watching me the whole entire time, so I just did my best. Oh well, at least it's over!

The big problem is that I don't listen to the teacher (Mrs. Suddendorf) when she is talking. I shouldn't talk while teachers are giving instructions because then I can't do my homework or do my classwork. I do this because I don't think we've had enough breaks, since we have ITBS testing, and the breaks are only 5 - 3 minutes long. I also have things in poetry to talk about. For example, I sometimes find things funny in poems, and then I just want to tell others about it. Maybe it's that I just thought of something funny like a joke, or a new line for a poem, or anything that is like that. To solve this problem, I might work in a place where I won't get distracted. I could also try clapping my hand to my mouth to stop me from talking to anyone about anything I might think about. I can also refocus my brain on what the teacher is talking about.

GOAL:

Stay out of trouble for the first 1 or 2 weeks of the trimester. If it works, go figure! If it doesn't, try another goal to replace the old one that didn't work out.

Today I watched Kyle go to soccer lessons at Lil' Kickers. I think he is in the hardest group in Lil' Kickers. Mom told me he is in the group Bigfoot, and that the next stop to level up is Skill Institute. I watched Kyle as he moved around, doing skill moves that weren't correct. I wish I could go help him, but I knew that there was already coaches. I just watched as Kyle kicked the soccer ball around and playing a weird game that would be easy for me. When it was time to go, mom gave me $2, and I traded that for 8 quarters and 2 quarters that mom gave me, enough for two necklaces and one squishball.

Today I am sick in bed, not wanting to move and has a big, bad headache. Boo-hoo-hoo. I'm sad. Ha! Just kidding. I'm actually happy, because mom bought me the new National Park Mystery Series: Adventure in Grand Canyon National Park. I thought I would be really funny, and I was right. It was mostly about adventuring around in the Grand Canyon, protecting this weird wooden cubic thingy with a map inside when you unfold it. Somebody crushed it, but that was actually a fake. Somebody also stole an important piece, too, but again, it was totally, 100% a fake. It was also full of jokes. Oh no! I gotta sit on my watch now! Why? Because I need to be On-TIME! Ha Ha! Oh, yeah, I would tell a nice poop joke, but I'm afraid it will stink. Get it? Ha!

-The gym, which is very small, not enough for a game of tag        |Well, it is a problem I have at school, and 

-The Cafeteria, where we have to wait in a line to get our food    |I have more to share tomorrow!

Today I had this argument with Kyle about this "Chicken Wing, Chicken Wing, Hotdog and balo-o-oney, Chicken in my Ho-o-omy" song. He says I'm singing too loud, even though I'm not singing at all! I'm breathing, just a bit loudly. Even Grandpa's in the scene! He just tried to hit me with a pillow! Despite my protests, he sends me to this closet, and now I cannot come out until nobody is here. Why do people have to treat me so badly?! I do not deserve to be treated like this! This is not fair! I do not want to be treated like this, ether! It makes me feel like I have no control over myself.

Today I went to the eye doctor to check my eyes to see if I need glasses or not. I better not, because if I do, I won't be able to play lots of sports because I might have my glasses broken. If I have my glasses crushed, I will not be able to see–or have everything blurry. We did this weird hot air balloon thing, where you look into a machine, and it takes a picture of your eye. I wonder how it takes pictures while having the hot air balloon. Oh, yeah, we also had to have eye drops because–I don't know! Why would you give eye drops to a person who doesn't need them? Or, at least they "paid back" by having us get Hi-Chews. That's at least better than nothing.

Yesterday we played Asphalt Legends 9 and Mario Kart. We got a new car by getting 700 coins, but we couldn't see that because all of us were rushing to play Asphalt Legends 9. Oh, yeah, it was impossible. I had to literally sack everyone I met. I mean like smash them and crash them. It was kinda fun, but way too hard to beat. The recommended rank was 792, but my car was 793. It was like a 744 rated chess player vs. 1200 rated player. If I do win, that is totally by luck. My plan is to get a ton of money first, and then upgrade my Chevrolet Camaro to its max point. Then, with the rank 912, I can defantaly beat everybody else on the racetrack.

Yesterday I got the new Nissan Nimzo! I literally blew out 25000 coins. I got all of that from the Special Events. Every time you make that goal, it's 10000 coins. I did it 3 times, which is 30000. Minus 25000, I have, like 5500 left. Oh, yeah, now for a big change of plans. Okay, okay, not so big of a change. I will just change the car I upgrade. Here's the plan about how to win this race:

1. get lots and lots of money from special event  |Now, this is pretty good of a plan since the Nissan Nismo's 

2. upgrade Nissan to max point/rank     |max point is 992, and the recommended rank is 792, we 

3. race the Nissan and try to finish first place!     |will easily win this race and move on to the next ones.

Today I had this big frustration about my drawing. It all started out good. I made a Old Dodge Durango drawing. It had to be, like the best drawing I ever made. But, when I was about to draw a BMW Z3, something terrible happened. Kyle disturbed me so badly, I erased a hole in the paper. Then, I shooed Kyle away and ripped my old drawing apart. I was so sad.😭Mom then helped me get a new piece of paper, and I restarted drawing my Dodge. It was so much better, and this time, well, I didn't rip it. AWESOME! Then, I added some words, and then I was OOF!

Today I went outside when it began to rain. I hated it. There was rain pounding on my jacket. There was pain in my twisted ankle. There was nervousness in my brain of slipping. But I pedaled. Hard. And, by a miracle, when we were running around the track at the middle school. We then went a way I never been to, a place where I had to keep pedaling since it was flat. Then, we circled back to the middle school. We then went home, where I took off my soggy jacket, which was orange.

HELLLLP! HELP! HEEEELP! Whazabazawazawha? Okay, I had a nightmare. Definitely. ZAP! BANG! Okay, me, calm down and just snap out of it. Good now–BAM BOOM! Now that's what I call weird. FIZZA BOOM! Now, there, there, Jacey*, it's fine! Okay I finally snapped out of it I think I drank too much stuff with caffeine like coffee I don't know what's the matter with me help help someone actually he–LP! Finally! Now, that I wasted this nice day, I have to go to bed. Hmph.

Today I have this soccer practice. I was a little nervous, since I had just sprained my ankle, and it just got better. I also have a lot more bruises, cuts, and scabs. I still did well, even though I was late by 10 minutes. I did a lot of passing. We played Canada and World Cup with older people. I mean kids. We ended up okay, like 2nd place or 3rd. We never wanted to be last, because last means that we don't cooperate well. Or, in other words, messy and out of order. Yes. Just like that.

Today daddy just came home from his whatever business trip he just went on. It was so so long. Two months! Wowza! That is a very long time. I mean, like REALLY. Would you like if you didn't see your dad for 60 days? Exactly! That's what I mean. When we got home, I expected candy and food EVERYWHERE, but then I saw that our house was pretty much normal. Except the fact that dad was in the bathroom. Ha ha! I like to do jokes like that. Some of them, well, need a LOT of improvement.

Today I left school early to get my passport. I don't understand why we have to go to a certain place. I mean, I don't see any problem to do it on the internet. I mean, they look at our faces. Well, why not have a video chat? Or meeting? BAAAH! This is driving me crazy! Well, I missed the opportunity to do more things at home. Like piano. Or, this. Diary, to be specific. Or, I could have gone to school instead. Oh well, Everything is over, so why bother it? Nah. It has to be a perfect day. What else could go wrong?

Today I have my last tryout to Elite Team. Oh BOY! I am excited, but also a little nervous. Was I going to be chosen? When I got there, I learned that all of those people were the people I saw last time at tryout. This time, we did partner passing first, and then 1v1. After we did all of those rounds, it was time to do 2v2. After all of those rounds, it was 7v7 on the big goals. I almost scored, but it went over the crossbar. Too bad! If I had scored, it would have been a nice tie. Yes, it would be better than losing.

Today mom told me that I was accepted into the Titans Elite Team! YO! I am so happy, because then those 26 or 25 dollars wasted! Also, then we can play against more teams, and we will know what the team's offensive plan is. Also, we can figure out the team shape, and find a plan to weave in between those players. Also, only 12 in, I don't know, 150 boys can get in the Elite team. I feel really proud of how I got in the Elite team. But, it also makes me worry. Will I have time to do what I need? Will we travel for games? How long is each game? As much as I like it, I also worry.

Today I went to my soccer practice lucky. Well, I just missed running around the field 2 or 3 times. Lucky mushroom! Also, I got a partner with juggling. So, do you think this is a good day for me? After all, I had a nice day at school. Nope! This day did NOT end well. I got kicked twice in my knee and ankle. As I mentioned before, my left ankle is still recovering. I got kicked in that very spot. I don't like it that much. After I got kicked, I only could play goalkeeper. NOT fun.

Today I have my chinese and chess class today. Mom thought that I didn't have a chess class, but turns out I do have a chess class. This time, we battled with coach, and all of us lost. Well, for the first time, my game got aborted because the coach didn't have time with me. The next game, he made sure that I had the opportunity to play. It turned out okay, all the way to the place where he took my rook. Next time I learned my lesson. Always stay alarmed–people might be planning a sneak at you.

Today we have pizza for lunch! Pizza is my favorite food. It is cheesy, oily, and crunchy (at the crust, that is). There were also grapes!! I ate them all up. I did kinda gobble them, too. It was SOOOO good! I loved it! Also, I learned to say my favorite color is . . . in voice groups! I can also name lots of colors, like red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, brown, silver, gold, and white! I can also say my name is . . . Well, I assume you know. Jace, if you didn't. HOHO!

This weekend I finished the book Ungifted. It's a book about a boy named Donovan Curtis who is a big rulebreaker and daredevil at his school. He eventually does something really bad, and gets sent to the superintendent's office. (here comes the surprising part!) The superintendent writes Donovan's name down, but accidentally writes it on the list of people that are going the the gifted program. Then, the secretary comes to get the list of people that are going to the gifted program, and Donovan's name is on it. So, the secretary sends Donovan to the gifted program.

Another surprising thing is about when Donovan took his retest. His mouse was controlled by another person (Abigail Lee did it, but Noah Youkilis faked it to get out of the gifted program) ! Another part is when Donovan comes to the robotics meet. This was supposed to be a competition, but it turned out as a fight between Tin Man (gifted program robot) and Pot-zilla (Cold Spring Harbor robot) . Also, at the dance party, the two Daniels (Donovan's friends) wheeled out Tin Man to dance, but Noah jumped onto him and kicked his eye from the DJ booth. HI-YA!

Today I am very very disappointed in me. In other words, BOO-HOO-HOO!! We lost against Celtics, 7 - 0. The whole family was there, cheering for me in English and Chinese. Jace! 防守(fang shou)! Jace! Defend! The family went to watch.

 I felt so much pressure on me! I really felt angry that I didn't even make the free kick shot that was posed right in front of the goal. I just got the ball out of the field. I think even Ayush could do better than that. Also, I got criticized when I just said "UHH!". I didn't like losing at all. Not a teeny bit. Yes, you could say I HATE it. But, you just gotta pretend the challenges aren't there, and there is only the good part. 

I felt sad when we lost and the game was over!  The really good part was that we got medals🥈. The bad news is that we don't get trophies, only champions get them. Those trophies were worth more than a medal. If you gave me the option to trade, I will definitely do it.

 Today I am very sad. We lost against Celtics 7 - 0 in the WPL (Washington Premier League) finals. We worked so hard to get there, but we still lost. That is the sad part. Also, the whole family was cheering for me in English and Chinese. Jace! 防守 (fang shou) !

I knew that a ton of pressure on me. I also felt disappointed when I took the free kick. I thought that I could curve the ball to back post, but turns out I aimed wrong and accidentally kicked the ball out of the field. I wish that I had done better. Then, we would have a better chance of scoring and winning and not losing like we did. 

I felt a bunch of scramble up emotions. Most of it was sad, and some were angry. Some emotions said, "Jace! It's fine. At least we get medals!" Too bad we didn't get those trophies. Trophies are shiny, big, and they all look good. Next time with my Elite Team, we will get those trophies!
